No. This listing includes one contact only. Compatible SB350 housings are sold separately.
How many contacts do I need?
This listing is sold per contact.
A single SB350 connector housing requires two contacts (one positive and one negative conductor).
To create a complete mated connection between two cables, most installations require:
- 2 × SB350 housings
- 4 × SB350 contacts

What wire sizes are available?
SB350 contacts are available for:
- 2 AWG cable

Why are these silver plated?
Silver plating helps improve conductivity, resist corrosion, and withstand the arcing that can occur when connecting or disconnecting DC power systems under load.
Combined with the heavy-wall copper construction, this helps provide lower resistance and cooler operation compared to many economy-grade contacts.
Should I use matching contacts on both sides?
Yes. For the best electrical performance and contact engagement, we recommend using matching SB350 contacts on both sides of the connection whenever possible. (Note that the wire size does NOT need to be the same on both sides.)
Mixing contact designs, materials, or manufacturers may reduce the effective contact area and can increase resistance, heat generation, and wear over time.
Using matching housings and matching contacts helps ensure the best fit, lowest resistance, and longest service life.
ALWAYS remember to inspect your connections regularly, and check for any signs of damage, wear, or heat.
Should I inspect the connection after installation?
Absolutely. After installation, perform a pull-test on the crimped conductor and verify that the contact is fully seated and locked into the housing.
During the first few high-current operating cycles, we recommend checking connector temperature to verify proper crimping and contact engagement.
Periodically inspect the connection for excessive heat, discoloration, looseness, or signs of arcing and damage.
Do I need a special crimp tool?
A quality crimp tool sized for the contact being used is strongly recommended. After crimping, always perform a pull test and inspect that the contact is fully seated in the housing.
Generally speaking, hex crimpers do not apply enough pressure to the contact barrels, and are not recommended without testing first.
Can I mix different contact sizes or wire gauges?
Yes. You can use different compatible SB350 contact sizes on either side of the connection. The mating surface of the contact is the same, while the crimp barrel is sized for the cable being used.
This can be useful when transitioning between different wire sizes, such as a larger cable on a long run and a smaller cable near the device.
Important: Always fuse the circuit for the lowest-rated conductor or component in the system.
