MPPT charge controllers are significantly more efficient than basic PWM controllers and can harvest more energy from your solar panel, particularly during cooler temperatures and lower-light conditions.
The included MPPT controller helps maximize the performance of the 220W panel and allows you to get more usable energy from your solar investment.
Which PV cable length should I choose for my installation?
The included PV cable set is used for both sides of the installation. One cable run connects the solar panel to the charge controller, while the remaining cable is used to connect the controller to the included fuse and your battery bank.
When selecting a cable length, consider the total distance from the panel mounting location to the charge controller, as well as the distance from the controller to the battery bank. The included cable can be shortened if necessary, making it easy to tailor the installation to your specific application.
Most RV and van installations are well suited to the 20' option, while larger boats, trailers, and cabins may benefit from the 30' cable set.
How does this solar kit ship?
The Lumera LS220WFLEX12V solar panel is individually packaged in a protective cardboard box with foam inserts to help prevent damage during transit. The flexible panel is packaged separately from the remaining kit components to ensure it arrives safely.
