Installation Notes


The MC6015’s higher 150V PV input rating is especially useful when wiring panels in series. Higher array voltage can help reduce current on the PV side, reduce voltage drop, and make longer cable runs more practical compared with lower-voltage solar arrays.

For safe system design, calculate solar panel cold-weather Voc before connecting your array. Solar panel voltage rises in cold temperatures, so a string that appears safe at standard test conditions may exceed the controller’s rating during winter conditions.

Recommended Battery-Side Protection

Proper fusing helps protect your wiring and connected equipment. Install a fuse or breaker on the positive conductor as close to the battery or busbar as practical.
