HTRC P3648 Battery Charger

A powerful, versatile, and portable charger — designed to keep your Sapphire Energy batteries in peak condition. The HTRC P3648 works with both 36V and 48V systems, covering lithium (LiFePO4) and traditional lead-acid battery types. Built-in multi-stage charging profiles ensure safe, efficient, and worry-free charging every time.

With up to 18A @ 36V and 13A @ 48V, you can recharge golf carts, marine batteries, and solar power systems. Quick and safe — clip on the heavy-duty clamps, select your voltage, and let the microprocessor do the rest.

Why You’ll Love It

  • Fixed voltage switch — reduces the risk of accidental overcharge by positively selecting 36V or 48V
  • Safe & smart — microprocessor controlled, reverse polarity protection, and seasonal compensation
  • Powerful output — charge large batteries quickly, or limit current for smaller banks
  • Portable & quiet — lightweight design with load-dependent cooling fan
  • Versatile modes — includes a forced charge function to re-activate dead lead-acid batteries and wake undercharged lithium packs
  • On/off switch & fuse — simple, visible safety and control

Perfect For

  • Golf carts — keep your cart batteries charged and ready
  • Off-grid cabins — maintain backup batteries during low-solar periods using a generator
  • Marine / boats — safe, reliable charging for onboard lithium or lead-acid banks
  • Workshop & garage — maintain or repair batteries for ATVs, carts, tractors, and scooters
  • Emergency backup — revive dead lead-acid or wake lithium packs when you need them most
  • Travel & service kits — lightweight and portable for field or remote work

Frequently Asked

Can the P3648 wake up a lithium battery that’s below cut-off?

Yes. Use the built-in forced charge function to safely wake undercharged LiFePO4 batteries that have tripped their BMS cut-off. Monitor closely and switch back to the normal LiFePO4 profile once voltage recovers.

Can I hardwire to my batteries?

Yes, using the included XT60 output port you can use custom accessories to hard wire to your battery.
Be sure to fuse appropriately, and be aware the charger will not re-start charging automatically once the charge cycle is completed. You must re-connect, or power cycle, to restart charging.

What size batteries can it charge?

Suitable for most 36V or 48V battery banks. Larger banks are supported, with charging time increasing to match capacity.

Does it automatically detect battery voltage?

No — and that’s intentional. A dedicated switch lets you explicitly select 36V or 48V charging profiles to prevent accidental mis-detection.

Can you adjust the charging current?

Yes. Multiple current settings are available via the MODE button to safely match smaller batteries or sensitive applications.

Will it remember my last mode?

Yes. Mode memory recalls the last charging mode used for quick setup next time.

Is the fan loud?

No. The fan is load-dependent and remains quiet under light loads, ramping up only when additional cooling is required.

Does it include repair / desulfation for lead-acid batteries?

Yes. An advanced repair mode helps recover performance in sulfated lead-acid batteries.

Can I use it with a generator?

Yes — provided the generator supplies stable AC within 100–240V, 50/60Hz. Inverter generators are recommended for best results.

What protections are built in?

Reverse polarity protection, over-temperature protection, seasonal compensation, and microprocessor-controlled multi-stage charging.
