Charge Your Power Station While You Drive

Recharge a compatible EcoFlow, BLUETTI or other portable power station from your vehicle’s accessory outlet. This 2-metre charging cable connects a standard male vehicle power plug—commonly called a cigarette-lighter plug—to a compatible female XT60 DC charging input.

The generous 2 m length makes it easier to position your power station in the rear seat, cargo compartment, truck cab or RV. Heavy 12 AWG red-and-black conductors help reduce voltage drop and cable heating during extended charging sessions.

A replaceable glass fuse is built into the vehicle plug for added circuit protection. A spare glass fuses are included with the cable.

Why You’ll Love It

  • Charge while travelling: Recharge compatible portable power stations from your vehicle’s accessory outlet.
  • Extra 2 m reach: Easily route the cable to a rear seat, cargo area, truck cab or RV storage compartment.
  • Heavy 12 AWG cable: Helps reduce voltage drop and cable heating during longer charging sessions.
  • Built-in fuse protection: A replaceable glass fuse is conveniently located inside the vehicle plug end.
  • ASare fuse included: Keep replacements in your vehicle or power-station accessory bag.
  • Standard XT60 connection: Compatible with many EcoFlow, BLUETTI and other portable power stations.

Longer than many original charging cables

The 2 m length provides additional reach between the vehicle outlet and a power station stored on a rear seat or in the cargo area.

Standard XT60 for Vehicle Charging

This cable uses a standard two-contact XT60 connector rather than XT60i. This allows many products to automatically adjust their charging profile to prevent overheating vehicle charging ports, or melting fuses in your car's electrical system.

Why can standard XT60 be useful?

Many compatible EcoFlow power stations treat a standard XT60 connection as a lower-current vehicle-charging source, commonly limiting the input to approximately 8A. This can help avoid overloading vehicle accessory outlets, particularly older or heavily used sockets.

Charging behaviour varies by model. Check the detected input power on your power station’s screen or mobile app the first time the cable is connected.

More Than a Power-Station Cable

The fused vehicle-plug end can also be adapted as a replacement lead for compatible 12V refrigerators, pumps, compressors and other vehicle-powered equipment.

The XT60 connector can be removed and the red-and-black conductors terminated to suit the device being repaired. Red is positive and black is negative.

Always verify polarity

Confirm the voltage and polarity of the original device before modifying or connecting the cable. Reversed polarity can permanently damage the connected equipment.

Check your power station’s input

Some portable power stations use DC7909, MC4, aviation or proprietary charging connectors instead of XT60. Connector fit, input voltage and polarity must all be compatible.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is this cable used for?

It allows a compatible portable power station to charge from a vehicle accessory outlet. Insert the male vehicle plug into the vehicle socket and connect the female XT60 end to the power station’s compatible DC input.

Will it work with an EcoFlow power station?

It is intended for EcoFlow models that accept vehicle charging through an XT60 or XT60i-compatible DC input. Input voltage, charging current and connector configuration vary between models, so check the manual for your specific power station.

Will it work with a BLUETTI power station?

It can be used with BLUETTI models that accept vehicle charging through a compatible XT60 input. Some BLUETTI models use DC7909, MC4, aviation or proprietary charging connectors instead.

What is the difference between XT60 and XT60i?

Standard XT60 has two main power contacts: positive and negative. XT60i adds a smaller signal contact that compatible EcoFlow equipment can use to identify the type of charging source.

This cable uses standard two-contact XT60. It fits many XT60i power-station inputs but does not provide the additional XT60i signal connection.

Why can standard XT60 be useful for vehicle charging?

Many EcoFlow power stations treat a standard XT60 connection as a lower-current vehicle-charging source, commonly limiting the input to approximately 8A. This can help avoid overloading vehicle accessory outlets, which are generally less capable than the power station’s maximum solar input.

This behaviour is model-dependent. Check the detected input power on the power station’s screen or app when first connecting the cable.

Will it provide the maximum charging speed?

Usually not. Charging speed is limited by the vehicle outlet, cable connection and power station’s vehicle-input settings. This cable is intended to provide convenient charging while travelling rather than the higher input available from a large solar array or AC charger.

Why is there a fuse inside the plug?

The replaceable glass fuse provides additional protection if excessive current or a short circuit occurs. It does not increase the capacity of the vehicle outlet or replace the vehicle’s original circuit protection.

Why does it use 12 AWG cable?

The heavier conductors help reduce voltage drop and cable heating over the 2 m length. The cable gauge does not override the operating limits of the vehicle outlet or connected power station.

Can it be used with a 24V vehicle outlet?

Only if the connected portable power station is specifically designed to accept 24V vehicle charging. Many power stations support both 12V and 24V car charging, but this must be confirmed in the manual before connecting.

Can it be used to repair another 12V device?

Yes. The vehicle-plug end may be used as a replacement lead for compatible 12V equipment after cutting and properly terminating the cable. Verify the device voltage and polarity before connecting it. Incorrect wiring can damage the device or vehicle.

Can it be used as a solar charging cable?

No. This cable is intended to carry power from a vehicle accessory outlet. Solar panels require a properly configured solar cable and must remain within the power station’s permitted solar-input voltage and current limits.

For compatible solar panels equipped with MC4 connectors, use our MC4 to XT60i portable power station cable instead.

How can I confirm compatibility?

Send us the brand and exact model number of your power station and we’ll help determine which charging cable you need.
