This CSA-approved #10 AWG solar RPVU wire is purpose-built for photovoltaic (PV) systems and designed to meet the needs of both professional and DIY solar installations. Sold by the foot, it’s an excellent choice for building wire runs from a roof or ground array to your PV equipment.
Built with 19-strand pure copper conductors and durable XLPE insulation rated 1kV / 2kV, this cable is suitable for Canadian installs where electrical code must be followed for inspection purposes.
RPVU is also permitted for use in conduit runs — including underground conduit applications. Be sure to follow local codes and regulations where applicable.
Bulk Discounts + Longer Lengths Available
Longer lengths qualify for automatic bulk discounts right on the product page. Need a longer continuous run, multiple conductors, or additional wire types for the same job?

Cut Length Policy
Wire is custom cut to your selected length and wire cuts are not returnable unless defective. Please double-check measurements before ordering.
Is this sold by the foot?
Yes — this wire is sold by the foot. Your order is supplied as one continuous length.
Will this pass inspection in Canada?
Yes. This wire is CSA approved for use in Canada and is valid for installations where inspection is required, provided the applicable Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) regulations are followed during the installation process.
What is RPVU wire used for?
RPVU is purpose-built and designed for use in photovoltaic (PV) systems — commonly used as PV building wire for array runs, conduit wiring, and other solar-related DC wiring (within ampacity and equipment limits).
Can you put ends on for me?
Absolutely! Just add the connectors you want to your cart, and leave us a note in the checkout. We'll be happy to crimp them on for you.
Can this be used for other things?
Yes — underneath all the fancy words and letters, it's still a quality #10 awg copper wire. It works well for connecting solar controllers, chargers, small DC fuse panels, diesel heaters, etc.
Just mind the ampacity ratings and keep in mind your alternate use may not line up with an inspector's requirements, so be sure to check first if that's important
Are there discounts for longer lengths?
Yes — longer lengths receive automatic bulk discounts. For very long runs, multi-wire bundles, or full project supply, please contact us for a quote — we can source and ship longer continuous lengths through our nation-wide distributor network.
Is there larger wire available?
Yes. We can custom order larger wire (and many other types of electrical wire) for your project. Just drop us a line with your requirements and we’ll get you pricing.
