12V 100Ah Bluetooth & Self-Heating LiFePO₄ Battery
Fish longer. Camp later into the season. Recharge with confidence when temperatures drop. The Sapphire 12V100BTHT combines 100Ah of lithium power, Bluetooth monitoring, and a built-in 50W automatic heater in a compact Group 24 package.
With 1280Wh of energy storage and a 100A continuous discharge rating, it’s a practical upgrade for compatible 12V trolling motors, depth sounders, fish finders, RVs, campervans, and off-grid power systems. At approximately 9.6kg (21.2lb), it’s easy to move between your boat, campsite, and charging setup.
It’s also a practical power source for diesel heaters in ice fishing shelters and winter camping setups, with output for the heater’s startup cycle and capacity for its running fan and your other campsite electronics. Automatic self-heating supports cold-weather recharging, while Bluetooth lets you check battery temperature and power consumption from your phone.
A standard battery with low-temperature protection pauses charging when it gets too cold. This model adds an automatic heater to help warm the battery back into its charging range—ideal for spring and fall fishing, winter camping, unheated RV compartments, and seasonal cabins.
The heater operates only when charging. It does not keep the battery warm during disconnected storage or while powering your equipment alone.
- Automatic Cold-Weather Heating — a built-in 50W heater activates below +5°C when charging, helping warm the battery for safe charging.
- Ready for Fishing & Winter Camping — power compatible 12V trolling motors, depth sounders, diesel heaters, and campsite electronics.
- Bluetooth Visibility — check estimated charge level, voltage, current, internal temperature, and protection status from your phone.
- Lightweight & Portable — approximately 21.2lb, with built-in handles and compact Group 24 sizing.
- Room to Grow — connect up to four matching batteries in series or up to four in parallel for larger systems.
- Long-Term Value — premium A+ grade LiFePO₄ cells, a 5000+ cycle rating, and a 5-Year Limited Warranty.
The integrated 50W heater pad activates automatically when the battery’s internal temperature falls below +5°C during charging.
If the battery’s internal temperature falls below 0°C, the BMS blocks charging into the cells. Charging is released once the battery warms back to +5°C. This gives you automatic heating support alongside low-temperature charging protection.
- Heater activation: Below +5°C, when charging only.
- Low-temperature charging cutoff: Below 0°C.
- Charging release temperature: +5°C.
- Cold-weather discharge: Down to −20°C.
A cold battery may need time to warm before charging into the cells resumes. Your charging source must provide sufficient power for heating; weak winter solar output can slow the process. Warm-up time varies with battery temperature and installation conditions.
Whether you’re working a shoreline, holding position, or watching your depth sounder, this battery provides a compact power source for your fishing setup. Its 100A continuous discharge capability comfortably covers the recorded current draw of the 40lb trolling motor example below.
In our real-world use, a 40lb 12V trolling motor drew approximately 34A at full speed and 3–5A at trolling speeds. Using the battery’s nominal 100Ah capacity, that works out to:
| Fishing Example | Calculated Runtime* |
| 40lb trolling motor at full speed Approximately 34A |
Approximately 2.9 hours |
| 40lb trolling motor at trolling speeds Approximately 3–5A |
Approximately 20–33 hours |
| Trolling motor at 4A + depth sounder at 1A Illustrative combined load of 5A |
Approximately 20 hours |
*Motor current figures were recorded by Sapphire during real-world use. Runtimes are calculations using nominal capacity, not guaranteed operating times. Motor model, throttle setting, boat loading, wind, water current, temperature, battery condition, and other connected equipment affect results. Cold temperatures reduce available capacity. Keep a reserve for your return trip.
Keep your diesel heater, fish finder, lights, and charging accessories powered from one portable battery. The 100A output provides ample capacity for typical 12V diesel-heater electrical startup loads, while Bluetooth helps you see how much current your setup draws once the heater is running.
For longer trips, recharge using a compatible lithium charger or suitably configured solar or DC-DC charging system. The automatic heater helps bring a cold battery into its charging range when charging power is available.
Built-in Bluetooth 5.0 connects to a free mobile app for iOS and Android, giving you a convenient view of your battery without adding a separate display.
Check estimated state of charge, voltage, current, internal temperature, cell information, and active protection alarms. See how much power your trolling motor is drawing, check your camping equipment’s consumption, or monitor battery temperature during a cold-weather recharge.
Charge percentage is an estimate. Use it alongside voltage, current, and your known equipment consumption when planning your day on the water or your next overnight stay.

Why choose the self-heating version?
If your adventures continue when temperatures drop, the self-heating model makes cold-weather recharging easier. Think early-season fishing, overnight winter camping, or an RV battery compartment that gets cold overnight. When charging power is available, the automatic heater helps warm the battery into its charging range.
You also get Bluetooth monitoring, so you can check battery temperature, charging current, and estimated remaining capacity from your phone.
Does the heater run while I’m fishing or storing the battery?
No. The built-in heater operates only when charging and the battery is below +5°C. It does not switch on simply because you are fishing, running a diesel heater, or storing the battery in a cold location.
The heater will not drain your battery
You can leave the battery disconnected between trips without the internal heater running to keep it warm.
Can I use it below freezing?
Yes. You can power your equipment at battery temperatures down to −20°C, making it useful for ice fishing and winter camping. Available capacity decreases in cold conditions, so keeping the battery protected from deep cold helps you get more usable runtime.
Charging into the cells is blocked below 0°C and released once the battery warms to +5°C. Allow time for warming when connecting a cold battery to your charging source.
How long can I run my equipment?
With 100Ah / 1280Wh of nominal capacity, you have plenty of power for fishing and campsite essentials. Here are a few examples:
- 40lb 12V trolling motor: Approximately 2.9 hours at our recorded 34A full-speed draw, or 20–33 hours at our recorded 3–5A trolling draw.
- Starlink averaging 35W: Approximately 36 hours before conversion losses and reserve capacity.
- 650-700W travel-style drip coffee maker: Approximately 6-7 pots of coffee, assuming a 15-minute brew per pot.
Runtime examples are calculations, not guarantees. Motor currents were recorded by Sapphire during real-world use. Actual results depend on equipment, temperature, other loads, conversion losses, and battery condition. Keep a practical reserve.
Can it power my trolling motor and depth sounder together?
Yes. For example, a trolling motor and depth sounder drawing 5A combined would give approximately 20 hours of calculated runtime from the nominal 100Ah capacity.
That’s plenty of potential fishing time from one compact battery. Allow a reserve, and follow your equipment’s wiring recommendations to help avoid interference on the sounder.
How long can I run my diesel heater?
Heading out for ice fishing or a winter camping weekend? This battery has plenty of capacity to keep your diesel heater running for several nights between charges.
A typical heater on low draws around 1–2A for the fan and controls, with a brief draw of approximately 12A for 4–5 minutes during startup. For 10-hour overnight use, around 4–5 nights is a reasonable planning estimate, leaving some battery capacity in reserve.
Your heater settings, cold temperatures, and other equipment will affect runtime. Bluetooth monitoring makes it easy to check your power use and remaining charge before settling in for the night.
Does insulating my camper’s battery compartment help?
Yes. An insulated battery cavity slows heat loss and reduces temperature swings. For example, retaining warmth after charging or from a nearby heated living space can help the battery stay warmer overnight, improving available capacity and reducing the warming needed at the next recharge.
Keep the compartment dry and maintain suitable clearance around terminals and wiring. Insulation slows cooling but does not generate heat; without charging or another heat source, the battery will eventually approach the surrounding temperature.
What if I need the battery kept warm between charges?
For extended winter use, an insulated enclosure with a thermostat-controlled, low-power seedling heat mat can provide gentle warming between charges. Choose a mat whose manufacturer permits the intended installation, and position the thermostat sensor to monitor battery temperature.
For example, a 20W mat running for 12 hours uses 240Wh before conversion losses—approximately 19% of this battery’s nominal capacity. A thermostat can reduce consumption by cycling the mat as needed. An external power source is preferable when available.
Prevent overheating and excessive battery discharge. Follow the mat’s installation instructions, do not fold it or trap heat contrary to its instructions, and keep it clear of terminals and wiring. If powered from this battery, include suitable low-voltage protection and monitor charge level rather than relying on the battery’s emergency BMS cutoff.
Can I add more capacity later?
Yes. Connect up to four matching batteries in parallel for as much as 400Ah at 12.8V. For example, two batteries provide 200Ah / 2560Wh of nominal storage for longer fishing trips or camping stays.
You can also connect up to four matching batteries in series for a 51.2V nominal system. Use matching models with similar age and charge level, and confirm your bank layout before combining series and parallel connections.
How do I store it between trips or over winter?
Store at approximately 50–80% charge in a dry, protected location, with loads and chargers disconnected. Ambient temperatures down to −20°C are acceptable for short periods, but bring it inside if temperatures are expected to stay below −15°C for extended periods. Check its charge every 1–3 months; the internal heater does not operate during disconnected storage.

these batteries were a game changer! first weekend of dry camping and power galore.Furnace ran all night cpac machine as well .Watched TV indoor and out .Huge improvement from our 200amp/hr lead acid batteries ..the blue tooth for the batteries is awesome combined with the battery monitor. Thanks again Russ for your time and knowledge
Really like this battery good performance.
Firstly, outstanding battery - I upgraded from a standard 100ah Gel battery that I hadn’t bought long before, but this one is on another level and has twice the go even with the same rated capacity. The app is a game changer too, whether it’s for trouble shooting, monitoring, testing etc, getting the insight into what’s actually going on is invaluable.
I had a few questions early on and Russ always replied basically instantly, and went above and beyond to make sure I got the battery in time, and that it was all working as intended. The man’s clearly very knowledgeable about all things electricity. 10/10 experince dealing with him
